Hello Hikers,
this Sunday we are going to see 2 majestic castle ruins north of Jena: Rudelsburg and Saaleck situated on the cliff above the Saale.
After a short train ride we will arrive in the tiny town Bad Kösen where we visit graduation works (Gradierwerk) and then hike through the forest slowly uphill to the Castles with a great view on the valley. There is also an impressive memorial of a lion. Maybe this will be the last hike out of Jena. So let’s go sightseeing something special and historical. 😊
In case of very bad weather we will change it to a city tour inside Bad Kösen.
Since it is outside Thuringia, everybody need to buy his/her own ticket before the trip.
